Design meets craft

The history of Faust Linoleum begins in the early 80s, in Berlin. Franz Faust is a carpenter and works together with up-and-coming designers and creative minds in the capital’s creative scene. As a furniture construction specialist, he carries out individual commissioned work for customers – people with high bank balances and even higher expectations. In this way, Franz Faust learns at a young age to find solutions for the extraordinary wishes of his customers.

Franz Faust is passionate about creativity and craftsmanship, but neither the luxury sector nor the ups and downs of the order situation in his workshop satisfy him completely. After years as a successful carpenter, he therefore looks for the next step in the development of his business.

High quality, individual and sustainable

Franz Faust wants to make customisable designer furniture of high quality, which everyone can afford, accessible to people. The combination of design, hi-tech in production, elegant functionality and high-quality materials should be the focus from now on.

During a meeting, one of his designer friends draws his attention to linoleum. A changeable, warm natural product, that corresponds to his sustainable philosophy of life. The idea of Faust Linoleum is born. Subsequently, Franz Faust combines linoleum surfaces with designer table frames to create work tables that are versatile and adaptable.

Thus customers can use a specially developed 3D configurator to put together their own personal workplace with millimetre precision. They get a custom-made desk that knows how to impress with its natural beauty in the office and at home.

Focus on people

In 2007 Franz Faust moves with his family to Huglfing, in the foothills of the Alps, to have more space for the continuously growing company. Here, together with his wife Ina, daughter Antonia and more than 35 employees, he creates a sustainable production facility for linoleum tables, which have meanwhile found enthusiastic fans worldwide.

With the construction kit for designer tables, Faust Linoleum combines the personal needs of its customers with high-quality materials and beautiful design elements that prove their worth in everyday office life.

From the very beginning, it has been clear to the family business that the customer focus should not be an empty marketing promise, but the core business. That is why all work steps, from ordering to production and delivery, are carried out in-house to ensure customer satisfaction at all times.

In recent years, Faust Linoleum has established itself as the first port of call for people who appreciate the beauty of natural design and who want to see their individual demands on a work table realised in a sustainable way – all of this, following the vision of Franz Faust, at a fair price.
